Pear and date crumble

  • 80g plain flour
  • 50g light brown sugar
  • 80g natural muesli
  • 80g butter, cubed
  • 4 pears
  • 4 fresh dates
  • 1 lemon, juiced
  • 1 tablespoon light brown sugar


  1. Preheat oven to 180ºC
  2. Put the flour, sugar and muesli into a mixing bowl and rub in the butter
  3. Dice the pears and dates and toss in the juice and sugar
  4. Place into ovenproof ramekins and top with the muesli mix
  5. Bake until golden and bubbling
  6. Serve with ice cream or cream
  7. You could also stuff a cored apple with this mix and bake or use as a topping on fruit muffins
  8. It keeps very well in the freezer so you can have it on hand to help put together a quick delicious dessert
